Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Encephalon ("we," "us," "our"), the developer of Fin Pulse. By accessing or using the App you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

To use Fin Pulse you must be at least 16 years of age (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction). When registering you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information (name, email, preferred currency/locale).
• Keep your credentials (password, PIN, biometric) confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Maintain only one personal account. Household or multi-user accounts are subject to separate terms.
• Notify us immediately at encephalon01.tech@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent activity.

Fin Pulse is a personal budgeting and expense-tracking application. Services are offered across two tiers:

3.1 Free Tier

• Dashboard with income/expense summaries across custom salary cycle or calendar month periods.
• Full transaction management: add, edit, delete, split, recur, and attach receipts to transactions.
• Category budgets, savings goals, and progress tracking.
• EMI and loan/interest calculators (manual input).
• Calendar and timeline view of transactions and recurring bills.
• CSV import/export and local backup/restore.
• PIN and biometric app lock, multi-currency support, and locale customization.

3.2 Premium Tier (Paid Subscription)

• Ad-free experience and cloud sync across multiple devices.
• Advanced analytics, spending forecasts, and unlimited account management.
• Smart auto-categorization rules and custom automation at scale.
• Multi-user household budgets and shared budget views.
• Priority support and early access to new features.

Features listed as 'coming soon' are provided on an as-available basis and are not guaranteed in any specific release.

Fin Pulse operates on a freemium model. Premium features require a paid subscription.

4.1 Billing

• Subscription plans, pricing, and billing cycles (monthly or annual) are displayed in the App at time of purchase.
• Payments are processed through your app store platform (Google Play, Apple App Store) or our designated payment processor. We do not store your payment card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal via your app store account settings.

4.2 Refunds

• Refunds are governed by the refund policy of your app store platform.
• For direct purchases, refund requests may be considered within 7 days if a verifiable technical fault on our side prevented access to premium features. Submit requests to encephalon01.tech@gmail.com.
• We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods or change-of-mind cancellations.

4.3 Price Changes

We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any subscription price increase via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Fin Pulse offers optional bank synchronization as a premium feature. The following terms apply:

• Bank sync is strictly read-only. Fin Pulse cannot initiate payments, transfers, or any financial transactions on your behalf.
• By connecting a bank account, you authorize a third-party Open Banking provider to share your transaction and balance data with Fin Pulse for display purposes only. Your banking credentials are entered on your bank's or the provider's own secure interface and are never seen or stored by Encephalon.
• Availability and accuracy of bank sync depends on your financial institution and the third-party provider. We are not responsible for connectivity failures, sync delays, or data inaccuracies arising from third-party services.
• You may disconnect your bank account at any time in App settings. Upon disconnection we will cease importing new data; historical imported data may be retained per our Privacy Policy.
• Third-party integrations (Google Drive, accounting tools, etc.) are governed by those providers' own terms. Encephalon is not responsible for their service failures or data handling.

By using Fin Pulse you agree to:

• Use the App solely for lawful personal finance management purposes.
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code.
• Not use the App in connection with any illegal financial activity, money laundering, or fraud.
• Not upload content that is harmful, offensive, or in violation of any applicable law.
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems.
• Responsibly disclose any bugs or security vulnerabilities you discover to encephalon01.tech@gmail.com rather than exploiting them.

All content, design, code, trademarks, and features of Fin Pulse are the exclusive intellectual property of Encephalon, including the Fin Pulse name and logo, all UI/UX designs, budgeting algorithms, EMI calculators, and written content. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.

User-generated content (custom categories, transaction notes, uploaded receipts) remains your property. By submitting it, you grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to deliver the App's services.

8.1 No Financial Advice

Fin Pulse, including all calculators, budget recommendations, and forecasts, does NOT constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making significant financial decisions.

8.2 No Warranty

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

You may delete your account at any time from the App's settings. Upon deletion your account access is immediately revoked and your personal data will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days (subject to legal retention requirements). Active premium subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your app store account.

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account without prior notice if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or as required by law. In such cases, subscription fees already paid are non-refundable.

These Terms are governed by applicable laws in the jurisdiction where Encephalon is registered. We encourage you to first contact us at encephalon01.tech@gmail.com to resolve any dispute informally. If informal resolution fails, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration under internationally recognised rules. Users in the EU retain the right to lodge complaints with their local data protection or consumer authority. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms periodically. When we make material changes we will update the Effective Date at the top, and notify you via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree, you may delete your account before the effective date.
